Blair Atholl is the famous for Blair Castle, the nearby House of Bruar and Pass of Killiecrankie, but for a visit to the cinema to watch a movie, the Birks Cinema in Aberfeldy is the number one choice for visitors to and residents of this lovely Highland Perthshire village. It’s a 35 minute drive from Blair Atholl to the cinema via the A9, passing by the town of Pitlochry, followed by the A827 through the hamlets of Ballinluig, Logierait and Grandtully, passing over the rivers Tummel and Tay along the way.
Maybe you would enjoy a slower drive of an hour through Strath Tummel, passing the famous Queen’s View at Loch Tummel, before reaching Tummel Bridge. Follow the B846 along the foot of Schiehallion, through the hamlets of Coshieville, Dull, passing Castle Menzies at Weem, before arriving in Aberfeldy.
