A series of four informal slide-talks in connection with current and upcoming exhibitions in the UK, given by local artist and art historian Dr Andrew Paterson, who is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. Wednesday evenings, fortnightly, 11th February to 25th March, 7.30 to 8.30pm.

Louise Bourgeois (1912-2010) is best known for her large-scale sculptures and installations which use a sophisticated symbolic visual language to explore themes of sexuality and the body, as well as addressing psychological issues deriving from traumatic experiences of her childhood. Her work in the Edinburgh exhibition is shown alongside that of two of her contemporaries, Helen Chadwick and Robert Mapplethorpe.
Each talk will last approximately one hour.
