

Join us for an evening All About Cheese at The Birks Cinema, supported by Healthiest Town Aberfeldy.
You Feta Believe It - This evening is ripe with cheese knowledge, cheese demos, and cheesy conversation.
The evening starts at 5:30pm with a cheesemaking demonstration in our new first floor Creative Learning Space. Artisan cheesemaker, Kristen Allan will demonstrate a simple cheese for you to make at home - learn how to make labne, including marinated labne balls in oil. Labne is a staple in Middle Eastern cuisine and is a strained yoghurt cheese with a thick and creamy texture, similar to cream cheese. Kristen will discuss how to use the leftover whey in cooking and baking and will also teach you how to make her delicious fermented fig leaf and plum, whey soda.

Following the demonstration, indulge in a grazing plate curated by Kristen and our Cafe Manager, Cristina Rodrigues. Rosemary crackers, olives, roasted peppers, feta, tomato, rocket, Ballintaggart bread, and labne cheese.
