A series of four informal slide-talks in connection with current and upcoming exhibitions in the UK, given by local artist and art historian Dr Andrew Paterson, who is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. Wednesday evenings, fortnightly, 12th February to 26th March, 7.30 to 8.30pm.

Goya to Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Oskar Reinhart Collection

An outstanding collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings was assembled in the first half of the 20th century by Oskar Reinhart (1885-1965), and since his death has remained housed in his family home, now a public museum, in Winterthur, Switzerland. The talk will focus on a handful of masterpieces from this collection included in the Courtauld exhibition, by Manet, Toulouse Lautrec, van Gogh and Cezanne.
Each talk will last approximately one hour.
