Breadalbane Canoe Club Film Night
Breadalbane Canoe Club Film Night
At 7pm, on Saturday the 19th of April, the Birks Cinema is hosting the official premiere of Fleet?.

This short film tells the story of a young group of friends growing up in the outdoors of Aberfeldy. It follows their journey through adolescence to the present day, tightly held together through their love for the outdoors, sport and creatively expressing themselves. In 2017, inspired by their favourite sports groups: SEND, Torryd and 50:01, they designed a logo for their group and named themselves “fleet”, and to this day, still proudly wear the stag. Ever since the first stickers on helmets, people have always asked what it represents. It’s high time they got an answer.

This is a live event, with the filmmakers and founding members of Fleet- Pretam Gurung and Iain McBride, presenting their film and answering questions afterwards.

As part of the event, a selection of the short films which were the primary inspiration for the formation of Fleet will also be shown.

This event is a fundraiser for the Breadalbane Canoe Club. Who are also hosting the anual Grandtully Premier Slalom race, which is running on the 19/20th of April. So if you want to watch some live action, get down to the Grandtully rapids during the day.
